Thank you for choosing to share your story with Life Story & Bright Horizons. This notice explains how we will collect, use, and protect your personal data in line with the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Life Story Creative Ltd. is responsible for collecting and processing your data for the purposes of this storytelling project, acting on behalf of our client Bright Horizons Family Solutions Inc., who are the ultimate  beneficiary of the content created.

What data we collect
We may collect:

Your full name (first and last name)

Audio, video, or photographic recordings of you

Written comments, quotes, or personal stories you choose to share

How we use your data
We will use your data to:

Create marketing or brand communications (e.g. videos, social content, web stories, presentations)

Promote Bright Horizons' mission and services

Share the impact of real stories with internal and external audiences

We may also contact you by email to clarify details, request additional permissions, or follow up on your contribution as part of this project.

We will never use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Our creative team (e.g. our film producer or editor)

Bright Horizons internal teams

External audiences (via published content)

Your data will never be sold or shared with unauthorised third parties.

How long we keep your data
We will retain your data until the project is completed, or for a maximum of 12 months, whichever is sooner. After that, it will be securely deleted.

Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you

Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data

Withdraw your consent at any time

Request deletion of your data

Lodge a complaint with the ICO or relevant supervisory authority
